Our Murphy Clubhouse pulls out all the stops when it comes to keeping the kids happy. • Water Sports 
  If it’s adventure you’re looking for, head on down to the river bank. BON Hotel Riviera on Vaal has some very cool (pardon the pun) water sports and things to do on the Vaal River. The water sports season traditionally starts at the beginning of September when spring has sprung and everyone comes out to play. Options include wake-boarding, skiing, tubina, speed boat cruises and, if you are really brave, try out jet-boarding. 

• ​ Vaal cruises 
  Here’s a heads-up – book in advance or else you are going to be left high and dry. Our Vaal River cruises are very popular – simply because how can you beat a meander down the river, cocktail in hand? We’ve also held some fantastic events on board, so keep that in mind when you are planning your next bash. In the summer, moonlight cruises are a favourite.

• Picnics 
  Feeling like throwing a blanket on the ground and enjoying a specially prepared picnic? Pick your spot overlooking the Vaal River and you and your special people can enjoy some time together while we take care of the food. Our picnic baskets are a hit and you can make your own choice from a few delicious goodies.

• Zorgvliet Spa 
  What’s a break away from home without a spa treatment? The Zorgvliet Spa is situated at Riviera on Vaal Country Club and is open to hotel guests. It’s essentially a day spa and has a wonderful ‘menu’ of pamper treatments – massages, manicures, pedicures, fabulous facials, and slimming treatments as well as a sauna. If you are not ready to get into that bikini, we have a vertical tanning unit to sort out those snow-white legs. 
   
• Golf at the Country Club 
  If you have come here for the golf, the 18-hole, very well -known Riviera on Vaal Country Club situated adjacent to the hotel is not going to disappoint you. This stunning course is set between the Vaal and Klip Rivers so (guaranteed!) you are going to be blown away by the beautiful scenery. It’s interesting to note that the historic club house was designed by Sir Herbert Baker; a walk around the club house will reveal plenty of interesting history. 
  
  For the beginners; a 9-hole Pitch and Putt course is available and the whole family can enjoy a round on this mini golf course.
