The Lodge offers 3 star Graded and AA Highly recommended accommodation in 7 tastefully decorated rooms, marked by welcoming warmth, a hint of intimacy and stunning views of the tropical garden and solar heated pool. There are double beds in all the rooms and some of them have build in couches in an open plan living area that can convert into single beds.
All suites have a kitchenette with a microwave oven, fridge, crockery and cutlery. Ceiling fans in all the rooms, tea and coffee and ironing facilities. TV with 10 popular Open view channels to choose from, a table and chairs. Serviced daily and complimentary Wi-Fi. Our solar heated swimming pool and scenic tropical garden will add that special experience to your stay.

The discreetly situated conference venue with standard equipment with generator back-up if needed, is the perfect venue for ‘getting down to business’ undisturbed. The Lodge is situated in a 5000sq meter tropical forest garden on the banks of the Umhlangamkulu River. One can be welcomed by unexpected company like the blue, red and grey Duiker, Leguan, Vervet monkeys and the peculiar tree Hyrax.
Soak up the sun on the lawn surrounding our magnificent crystal clear 12 x 6 meter solar heated pool . With water temperature that can reach up to 33 degree Celcius during the warmer months, one can enjoy a late night romantic swim in the moonlight.

Birding in and around our premises is extremely prolific. Species found here will appeal to the experienced, but also to the novest birder and eco-tourist. During the summer months between 30 000 and 40 000 barn swallows roost in the reeds of the Umhlangamkulu river flowing through Southport. It is quite a spectacular view to watch them circle at sunrise and sunset.
The Umhlangamkulu river forms Dieu-Donneè’s southern border. The catchment area is relatively small and allows the river to form a lagoon that only opens the estuary after heavy rains. Some salt and fresh water fish can be found in the water.
